Description Epicenter Memphis is the innovation hub of the Delta, empowering entrepreneurs to develop, launch, and grow innovative businesses in the Greater Memphis region. As a nonprofit founded through a collaborative effort by key local institutions—including Start Co., the Greater Memphis Chamber, Memphis Bioworks Foundation, and the Black Business Association—Epicenter is dedicated to building up the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Mid-South.
At its core, Epicenter connects talent, capital, and technology to create real opportunities for founders, whether they are launching startups or scaling existing ventures. It uses a systems approach, aligning a network of partners—including academic, corporate, and government stakeholders—to support entrepreneurs across industries and stages of growth. The organization measures and celebrates its impact, striving to foster a just economy that benefits all Memphians.
Epicenter offers a range of curated programs and initiatives, including accelerator tracks like the Capital Readiness Accelerator, the ZeroTo510 medical device accelerator, the Medical Device Operations Challenge, and the Innovate Xcelerate Pitch Competition. The organization also hosts engaging events, such as the DelTech Conference, Epicenter Live! (a series blending live music and pitch presentations), and hands-on meetups like “Coffee Break with Epicenter” to foster community and innovation.
By providing physical space, expert mentorship, programmatic support, and network connections, Epicenter ensures that diverse and underrepresented founders—notably those in fields like medtech and logistics—have the resources to succeed and thrive in Memphis.
