Empowering Women and Girls Through Basketball
She Got Game League, founded in Memphis in 2019 by Celia “Boss Lady” Newman, is the Mid-South’s premier semi-pro women’s basketball organization. With a mission to uplift, empower, and spotlight athletes, the league offers adult women’s divisions and a Junior SGG program for youth ages 3rd–9th grade. It fosters community, competition, and growth—on and off the court.
League Highlights:
Adult Women's League: 6–8 game seasons + playoffs; $125/player includes uniform and t-shirt; awards, MVPs, and scholarships awarded each season.
JR She Got Game: Youth league for girls, featuring mentorship and skill-building from SGG players and coaches.
Community Engagement & Scholarships: Hosts basketball camps (like the Red Bull-sponsored 3‑Point Contest), youth development programs, and has awarded over $10K in scholarships to high school seniors.
National Expansion: Grown from Memphis into six cities—Nashville, Houston, Little Rock, Denver, and Dallas—with a national tournament for top teams.
