Family, Friends & Community: BCoM Celebrates Juneteenth at AutoZone Park

On June 19, the Black Chamber of Memphis welcomed members, partners, supporters, and friends to our Annual Night at AutoZone Park for an evening of connection, celebration, and baseball in honor of Juneteenth.

More than 150 guests joined us on the Party Deck as the Memphis Redbirds took on the Nashville Sounds. The evening began with the City of Memphis vs. Shelby County Government Juneteenth Softball Game, creating an atmosphere that celebrated both community pride and Memphis' rich baseball heritage.

This year's event held special significance as we shared the Party Deck experience with representatives from the National Negro League Baseball Museum, whose presence helped highlight the lasting legacy of the Negro Leagues and the profound impact Black athletes have had on America's pastime.

Beyond the game itself, the evening provided an opportunity for business owners, professionals, community leaders, and families to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Events like Family & Friends Night reflect the Chamber's commitment to creating spaces where business and community naturally intersect.

A special thank you goes to our partners at Boomin University for joining us and sharing information about their free four-week Boomin Marketing Cohort. The program is designed to help entrepreneurs strengthen their marketing strategies, increase visibility, and position their businesses for growth.

As an added incentive, businesses that successfully complete the cohort will be entered into a drawing to receive one of six complimentary one-year memberships to the Black Chamber of Memphis. This partnership represents our shared commitment to ensuring entrepreneurs have access to the tools, training, and networks needed to thrive.

We also extend our appreciation to the Memphis Redbirds organization for hosting another outstanding evening and to every member, sponsor, volunteer, and guest who helped make the event a success.
